Remedy

A multi-racial elite raid guild that worshipped a nameless god and ultimately saved their world.

The Guild That Saved the World

Remedy was a multi-racial elite raid guild that worshipped a nameless god and ultimately saved their world.

Overview

Remedy was not just a guild — it was a family. Members came from every race and background, united by their willingness to fight when no one else would. They were elite raiders, facing threats that would overwhelm conventional armies.

Notable Members

  • Uaellaen: Dark elf archmage, god-slayer (narrator)
  • Rumzuck Umbatsch: Ogre warrior, Uaellaen's brother
  • Smackage: Ogre warrior, Uaellaen's closest friend
  • Wreckreate: Erudite wizard, could mana-burn lesser dragons in one shot
  • Uuaellaen: Cleric, Archon, High Priest, Uaellaen's biological brother
  • Zahlia: Great enchantress

The Nameless God

The guild worshipped a nameless god — a deity without name, image, or doctrine. It simply was, and the Remedy served it.

"The nameless god didn't ask for worship. It asked for action. And the Remedy delivered."

Legacy

Remedy saved their world from an existential threat. But the cost was enormous. The crown of their golden age was the raid on Morthane, the Lord of Fear — the god of the Plane of Fear — the single act that turned Remedy from a guild into a name spoken in whispers. But the guild's golden era ended in catastrophe — The Fall of Remedy. Afterward, Uaellaen's inner circle — the first six — was banished to the unknown universe, and the guild itself was scattered, its remaining members left to their own fates in the old world.

Status

Remedy is now a memory. A legend. A story told in taverns and halls.

Membership

Remedy took members from every race and background — the test was not blood or birth but willingness: the willingness to fight when no one else would, and to stand in the line when the line was the only thing between the world and the things that wanted to unmake it. The guild's ranks were a family in the way that matters: it was the people who stood beside you when the world went to hell, and it stayed that way after the world stopped going to hell.

At its center, through the Golden Age and the whole of the story, stood the six who would become The Company: Uaellaen, Rumzuck Umbatsch, Smackage, Wreckreate, Uuaellaen, and Zahlia. Around them the guild was large and loud and multi-race in the way only an elite raid guild can be — and when The Fall of Remedy came, it was the six the old world's hand chose to keep, and the rest it let go.

Chronology

  • Founding — in the old world, before the Golden Age. The exact hour is not recorded; the guild recorded raids, not birthdays.
  • The Golden Age of Remedy — the era when the guild was a legend in making; the raid on the Plane of Fear is its crown.
  • The Fall of Remedy — a quiet decline, not a defeat: the old guard grew old and retired, one by one, until there were not enough people left to run raids.
  • The Drop — the six banished through The Threshold; the guild scattered; the story begins.

"Remedy wasn't a place. It was the people who stood beside you when the world went to hell. And that's something you can never lose — even when everything else falls." — Uaellaen*
