The Peak
The Golden Age of Remedy was the era when the guild was at its absolute peak — the time when Remedy was not just a guild but a legend in the making, and its members were not just fighters but the people who stood between the world and the things that wanted to unmake it.
The Core
At the center of the Golden Age stood four:
- Uaellaen — the mind. Dark elf archmage. Elementalist and conjurer of the apex. The one who held the power.
- Wreckreate — the precision. Erudite wizard. The one who rewrote the rules.
- Rumzuck Umbatsch — the shield. Ogre warrior. Uaellaen's brother. The one who stood in front.
- Smackage — the heart. Ogre warrior. Uaellaen's closest friend. The one who kept them human.
They were the core. Everything else in Remedy orbit around them.
What Happened
During the Golden Age, Remedy did what no other guild, army, or alliance had done: they faced a threat that would unmake the world, and they won. The details of the threat are not recorded. Uaellaen does not speak of them. The world was saved. The cost was not.
The crown of it all was the raid on the Plane of Fear — the god Morthane, the Lord of Fear — the act that made Remedy a name. That raid is the capstone of the Golden Age, and the part of the story the guild told most often and the least.
"We saved the world. I do not say that to be proud. I say it to be precise. The world was saved. What was lost in the saving — I will not count that here. I will not count that anywhere." — Uaellaen
Aftermath
The Golden Age ended. The guild that saved the world began, slowly, to come apart. The events that followed are called The Fall of Remedy.
"The Golden Age was not a time. It was a people. And people do not last. That is not a tragedy. That is the thing that makes the time matter." — Uaellaen
