What It Is
A set of glass vials, the venom in the glass, the address in the label — the distiller's whole argument in a belt. Each vial is a question: who drinks? — and the answer is the one the hunter points.
The Making
Made by the serpent-folk distillers, the only line that measures a wound in doses — the venom-bladder in the glass, the poison-culture in the season, the address in the label. The set is the crossing of the two doors: the poison sets the terms, the venom delivers, and the glass holds the delivery until it is pointed.
Tier: master · Damage/Role: — (reagent kit) · Held by: the serpent-folk distillers
On the ladder in The Maker's Hand, this is a master — the tier it is, and the tier is the one the maker owes.
In Stories
The vial set is the one the camp watches when the serpent-folk enter a fight: the question is not whether they will drink, the question is who. When a vial turns in the hand, the address is made, and the address is the one the story has to be about.
