What It Does
The line's signature — the wound, drawn and let go where the hand says, and the delivery is the whole argument, and the one who cast it is the one who gave the blood. It is the venom school's answer to the poison school's long rot: the wound does not wait, the wound arrives, and the arrival is the one the body has to drink.
The Cost
Circle 5 · Venom · Exchange: blood — casting time three rounds. On the ladder in The Veil, the blood rung is the price.
The Failure
The wound is let go shaped, and the shape is not the one the hand sent — the wound is the one who arrives, and the one who drinks is the one the story is about.
In Stories
The archmage's venom spell; the one the camp does not cast twice, because the address remembers.
The door's scale anchor is Venomfury — the dragon casts it without thinking, which is how a reader learns the shape of the thing.
