The Argument
The warhammer is the ogre's preference, and the ogre's preference is load-bearing. It does not cut — it argues with weight, and weight is the one argument that plate does not answer. The head is a block of iron, the haft is an oak that has been stood against, and the swing is a refusal to let go all the way through.
A warhammer beats a parry the way a wall beats a door: not by finding the gap, but by not caring about the door. The fighter who wields it is bracing with the weapon, not the body — and that is the ogre doctrine, weaponized.
In the Hand
Two hands, always. The hammer takes the STR stat and multiplies it by the sentence it is finishing. It is the answer to Plate, the answer to the mace, and the question the flail asks: what if the head does not go where you expect it? The hammer's answer is: it goes where I say it goes.
