What It Does
The line's signature — the mountain, raised and let go where the hand says, and the weight is the whole argument, and the one who cast it is the one who gave the blood. It is the earth school's answer to the fire school's cinder tongue: the mountain does not burn, the mountain is.
The Cost
Circle 5 · Earth · Exchange: blood — casting time three rounds. On the ladder in The Veil, the blood rung is the price, and the meter pays the budget while the exchange pays the spell.
The Failure
The voice is let go shaped, and the shape is not the one the hand sent — the mountain is the one who is still standing, and the one who is standing is the one the story is about.
In Stories
The archmage's earth spell; the one the camp does not cast twice, because the ground remembers.
The door's scale anchor is Stonewrought — the dragon casts it without thinking, which is how a reader learns the shape of the thing.
